All hard wired Bulldog Trackers are designed to have a permanent 12 - 24V power supply which is providing power regardless of if the vehicle is running or not.

When installing your tracker, it is important to ensure that any positive power wire that you use is providing a positive feed even with the ignition switch in the off position and the keys removed.

Typical signs that your tracker is wired into a switched positive power wire are as follows:

1. The tracker powers up when the ignition is switched on.

2. A short time after the ignition is switched off, the tracker shows as "Low Battery" and then powers off.

If your tracker displays characteristics as above, please double check the positive wiring (red wire) is connected to a permanent power supply.
