The green light shows the status of the connection from the tracker to the mobile phone network. It uses the mobile phone network to update our tracking service on the location of your vehicle / asset.
Light State | Status | Resolution |
Steady Green (on all the time) | Battery is Full | |
1 second on and 1 second off | The GSM is registering | If this status remains for longer than 5 minutes, move the tracker to a location where there is mobile signal. |
2 blinks in 1 second then off for 1 second | The GPRS is registering | If this status remains for longer than 5 minutes, move the tracker to a location where there is mobile signal. |
Steady Off | The GPRS connection is complete and the tracker is registered |
Note GSM and GPRS are different and you may have a GSM signal In a location but no GPRS signal. GSM is used for calls and SMS and GPRS is used for a data connection. The tracker needs a GPRS signal to communicate with our service. You may find that you have a signal on your mobile phone but this does not necessarily mean you will have a GSM or GPRS signal on the tracker due to the mobile phone frequencies used by the devices.
